Information and documents submitted in this form are forwarded by e-Visa.co.uk to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), under the authority of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA). The IRCC is authorized to use this information to assess the admissibility to Canada, as well as to forward it to other (non-)Canadian government agencies, including (but not limited to) Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), provincial and territorial governments, foreign governments, law enforcement institutions and penitentiary authorities with regards to enforcing immigration law.
If biometric features, including fingerprints, are a part of the eTA application, then these features will be shared with the RCMP. These features can also be used and stored by Canadian law enforcement institutions in agreement with article 13.11 of the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). The features can also be used for establishing the identity of persons and can potentially be shared with other Canadian and foreign governments.
