For a trip to India, it is in most cases necessary to get vaccinated. Some vaccinations are mandatory, others are only recommended. Have you been to Africa or South America in the six days prior to your trip to India? Then you may only enter India if you have been vaccinated against yellow fever. Some doctors also recommend a vaccination against Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio (DTP), Mumps, Measles and Rubella (MMR), Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid fever and Tuberculosis. You may have already received some of these vaccinations as a child, or in preparation for a previous trip.
