NZeTA consular fees and tourist tax

Part of the visa cost consists of consular fees and a tourist tax. These fees add up to 123 NZD. The consular fees are charged by the New Zealand immigration service for processing and assessing visa applications. After you submit your visa application to e-Visa.co.uk, the application is forwarded to the New Zealand authorities. The immigration service will assess your application and is authorised to issue the official NZeTA visa New Zealand.

Visa cost in pounds

You always pay the cost of the visa in pounds
When you apply for your NZeTA on e-Visa.co.uk, you will always pay the cost in pounds. This means that you will not need to factor in an unfavourable exchange rate.

The New Zealand authorities charge a tourist tax, known as the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL), in addition to consular fees for processing visa applications. This tourist tax is mandatory for almost every traveller wishing to visit New Zealand, with the exception of New Zealand citizens. Travellers with specific business visas are also exempt from paying the tourist tax. The cost of the tourist tax is included in the total cost of the NZeTA that is available on this website. The IVL is used to maintain New Zealand's wildlife and tourism infrastructure.

Service fee for processing visa applications

The other part of the visa cost is the service fee amounting to £44.03. These fees are charged by e-Visa.co.uk for checking and processing your visa application. This fee covers access to a customer service that is available 24/7. The service fee is included in the overall price of £99.95 per visa.

Fees for additional services

e-Visa.co.uk offers a number of additional services that you can choose for an additional fee. These include urgent applications and a CO₂ offset. These optional services and their associated cost are shown in the application form.

Urgent application fee

If you are travelling to New Zealand at short notice, you can submit an urgent application. 90% of urgent application are processed within 24 hours. A surcharge of £17.50 per visa applies to urgent applications.

Urgent applications are processed faster by e-Visa.co.uk. This means that your application will be checked by a visa specialist almost immediately after you submit the documents, including during public holidays and at weekends. When everything is complete and correct, your application is immediately forwarded to the New Zealand immigration service. From this point on, e-Visa.co.uk has no influence on the speed at which your application is processed. Even urgent applications can be subject to delays. If you are travelling within 8 days of submitting your visa application, you can only submit an urgent application through e-Visa.co.uk.

CO2 offset cost

The CO₂ offset is an optional service, which offsets the CO₂ emissions from your outbound and return flights by investing in VCS-certified projects. These are various projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Find out more about CO₂ offsetting through e-Visa.co.uk.

e-Visa.co.uk is a commercial and professional visa agency, and supports travellers in obtaining, among others, the New Zealand visa. e-Visa.co.uk is an official partner of the International Air Transport Association, IATA, with membership number 57231226, acts as an intermediary, is no law firm, nor does it employ lawyers, does not provide legal advice, and is in no way part of any government. You can also apply for a visa directly with the immigration service (123 NZD per visa, via nzeta.immigration.govt.nz). However, not with our level of support. If you submit your application via e-Visa.co.uk, our support centre is available to you 24/7. In addition, we manually check your application and all the documents you provide before submitting it to the immigration authorities on your behalf. If we suspect any errors or omissions while doing so, we will personally contact you to ensure that your application can still be processed quickly and correctly. To use our services, you pay us 123 NZD in consular fees, which we pay to the immigration service on your behalf, as well as £44.03 in service fees as compensation for our services, including VAT. Our services have saved many travellers from major problems during their trip. Should an application be rejected despite our support and verification, we will refund the full purchase price (unless an application for a previous New Zealand visa was rejected for the same traveller).
