Will you travel to Cambodia in 2024 or 2025? Then you need a visa. Travellers from the United Kingdom, Ireland and all other countries in Europe always need a visa to be allowed entry to Cambodia. This applies to travellers of all ages. Nationals of a number of Asian countries and the Seychelles are the only travellers exempted from the visa requirement.

Which visa for Cambodia should you apply for? If you travel for a holiday or a family visit, you may use the e-visa. The e-visa differs from other visa types because you can apply for it online. You are not required to go anywhere or to send any documents by post to apply for the visa.
Apply for your Cambodia e-visa right away

You may apply for the tourist visa at the Cambodian embassy or consulate, or you may apply for a visa upon arrival in Cambodia. In the latter case, you have to fill in a form upon arrival, pay the cost in US-dollars and wait until your visa is issued. The visa is valid for a 30-day stay

The tourist visa that you can apply for online is valid for 90 days from the moment that your e-visa is issued. You can apply for your Cambodia visa as long before your departure as you wish because your application will be processed no earlier than 30 days before the arrival date you entered in the application form. You may travel to Cambodia within the validity period of 90 days, but you may only stay in the country for up to 30 days. The Cambodia visa a single-entry visa. This means that you may use the visa for one trip to Cambodia only. The tourist visa is not available as a multiple-entry version. If you want to travel to Cambodia multiple times, you have to apply for separate visas for each trip. Each time you arrive in Cambodia on a tourist visa, you may stay in the country for another 30 days.

Requirements for the Cambodia visa

Most travellers can apply for the tourist visa for Cambodia online. However, there are some visa requirements that need to be met. To be eligible, applicants need to hold a passport that is valid for at least 6 months on the arrival day in Cambodia. The tourist visa is only meant for tourist travel, which also includes family visits. If you travel to Cambodia for business purposes or to work as a volunteer, you may not use the tourist e-visa. Apply for the Cambodia visa

You may apply for the visa for Cambodia 24/7 online. You may submit the application as far in advance as you want. If you apply for the visa more than 30 days before your expected arrival date in Cambodia, your application is put on hold first to make sure that the visa does not expire before you arrive in the country. You will be informed about when your application will be processed further.

You can apply for the visa by opening the online application form. The form contains some personal questions as well as some questions regarding your travel details. If you travel in a group, you can easily add other individuals to your application. After you fill in the form, you can pay the cost of £64.95 per traveller by credit card, PayPal or another online payment method. Next, you finalise your application by uploading a digital passport photo and a photo or scan of the passport of each traveller.

When will the visa be issued?

After you have submitted your application in good order, it takes 7 days on average until your visa is issued. As soon as your application has been approved, you receive an e-mail with instructions about how to download and print the visa. The visa is issued as a PDF file. You are advised to check all details on the visa to make sure that it does not contain any errors. You have to print the visa twice and carry both copies with you to Cambodia.

Do you need the Cambodia visa on a short notice? If you need a visa for Cambodia urgently, e.g. because you are leaving on a short notice, you may submit an urgent application.
