Tip Cambodia visa

Not necessary to travel to the Cambodia embassy
Since implementing the online application procedure for the Cambodia visa, it is generally not necessary to visit the embassy any more. The entire process takes place online, meaning you can apply from the comfort of your home.

When to go to the embassy?
Only if you wish to stay in the country for longer than 30 days, or if you don’t meet the requirements of the Cambodia visa do you still need to make an appointment with the Cambodian Embassy in London.

1. Gather documents and information

Before you start applying for the Cambodia visa, it is wise to gather a number of documents and information of all the travellers. That is because it is recommended submitting a group application, so all the travellers in your travel company can apply all at once. This makes it so there is no need to fill in a large amount of information over and over, such as your contact information and travel details.

For each traveller you need the following documents:

  • A scan of the information page of the passport (the page with your photo and personal details)
  • A passport photo of the traveller *

* This does not need to be an official passport photo, you can also use a selfie. The face does need to be clear and focused in the image, it must be a colour photo and the background needs to be smooth and lighted. A cutout of the passport photo on your passport is not accepted.

Furthermore, you need the following information for the entire travel company:

  • Contact information of the applicant
  • Location of arrival in Cambodia *
  • Date of arrival in Cambodia **

* You cannot enter Cambodia at every border crossing, check the permitted entry locations on this page.
** Didn’t book any flight tickets yet? You can also input an estimate, your actual date of arrival can in most cases deviate several weeks. Read more about this on the page concerning the validity of the Cambodia visa.

2. Fill in Cambodia visa application form

Did you gather the above-mentioned information and documents? Then you can start your Cambodia visa application. This is done by first filling in the application form. In it, you fill in your contact information and travel details, as described above. Next, you write down the passport details from the passport of each traveller for whom you wish to acquire a Cambodia visa. As soon as you have filled in this information of a traveller, you press the button "add a traveller", so that new input fields appear for any extra travellers.

3. Check information and make the payment

After filling in the information, you are forwarded to the control page. Here you will see all of the filled in information again. Check this information carefully. Input mistakes and incompleteness can lead to an invalid visa, which can cause major problems during your trip. At the bottom of the page you can choose your preferred payment method. Here you can choose for a payment with:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • PayPal

Once you have selected your payment method and agreed with applying for the visa, you will be forwarded to the payment page of your preference. If at this moment, you would rather choose a different payment method, you can navigate your way back to the application form; your information is stored for ten days, or until you complete the payment.

4. Providing passport scan and passport photo

After completing the payment, you automatically return to the status page. There, you will be asked to upload a passport scan or passport photo for each traveller going to Cambodia. This can be easily done through the web-based upload tool. With it, you can provide virtually any file format (including large files). Next, you can easily make a cutout of your passport (only the information page that has your picture on it). The same is done with the passport photo of each traveller. Crop it in a way that the entire face is fully visible. The proportions of the passport photo are automatically set correctly, you don’t need to pay attention to that.

5. Checking by visa expert and processing

After you have filled in the application form, made the payment and uploaded the required scans, your application is manually checked by one of our visa specialists. When they decide that your application is in order, you will receive a message about this straight away. Next, the application is processed by a consular employee of the immigration service (in Cambodia). Does the visa expert decide that something is wrong? This can happen if the filled in information does not match the information on the passport scan, or when the passport scan or provided passport photo isn’t clear. In that case, you receive a message about this (by e-mail or sms). That way, you can correct the information or files, after which your application is processed again.

Granting

After a consular employee in Cambodia has decided that your application is in order, you receive the Cambodia visa straight away by e-mail. You need to print the document twice and keep it with your hand luggage. This applies to every individual traveller.

If we suspect any errors or omissions while doing so, we will personally contact you to ensure that your application can still be processed quickly and correctly. To use our services, you pay us 36 USD in consular fees, which we pay to the immigration service on your behalf, as well as £35.98 in service fees as compensation for our services, including VAT.
