All information regarding the Egypt visa

Do you want to apply for a visa for a holiday to Egypt in 2024 or 2025? All citizens of the European Union, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom can easily apply for their Egypt visa online. Keep in mind that children and babies also need their own visa.

What kind of visa do I need? The visa that you apply for on this website is sent by e-mail as a PDF document, hence it is called the electronic visa (e-visa). The Egypt e-visa is suitable for tourists who want to stay in Egypt for up to 30 consecutive days, for a holiday or to visit friends or family. Applying for an e-visa online is the easiest way to meet the visa requirement.

If you are not travelling to Egypt for tourism, or if you want to stay in Egypt longer than 30 consecutive days, you need to make an appointment at the Egyptian consulate to apply for a different type of visa.

You can choose between two types of e-visas for Egypt. You can apply for a single-entry visa or a multiple-entry visa. The single-entrry visa has a maximum validity period of 90 days, and the multiple entry visa has a maximum validity period of 180 days. A single-entry visa allows you to travel to Egypt once during its validity period, while you can use a multiple-entry visa for multiple trips during these 180 days. You can apply for either visa using the same application form. Both visas allow a maximum stay of 30 days.

Requirements for the e-visa to Egypt

If you want to travel to Egypt on an e-visa, you must comply with several visa requirements. The most important requirements are:

  • You have a passport that is valid for at least another 6 months on your day of arrival in Egypt
  • You are travelling with the same passport as the one you used during your visa application
  • You can provide the address of least one accommodation that you will be staying at in Egypt
  • You can provide the addresses of all the accommodations you are going to stay at
  • You can show all tickets of your remaining flights or cruises upon arrival

It is not a problem if you do not have a detailed itinerary when applying. You do not need to show that you have planned your trip until you arrive. However, you must indicate when you expect to arrive in Egypt when you apply for your visa. This can be an estimate. You may still decide to arrive in Egypt up to 30 days earlier or 30 days later than the estimated date of arrival, sometimes even later than that. You can read exactly how this works on the page about the period of validity of the Egypt visa.

e-Visa.co.uk is a commercial and professional visa agency, and supports travellers in obtaining, among others, the Egypt visa. e-Visa.co.uk is an official partner of the International Air Transport Association, IATA, with membership number 57231226, acts as an intermediary, is no law firm, nor does it employ lawyers, does not provide legal advice, and is in no way part of any government. You can also apply for a visa directly with the immigration service (25 USD per visa, via visa2egypt.gov.eg). However, not with our level of support. If you submit your application via e-Visa.co.uk, our support centre is available to you 24/7. In addition, we manually check your application and all the documents you provide before submitting it to the immigration authorities on your behalf. If we suspect any errors or omissions while doing so, we will personally contact you to ensure that your application can still be processed quickly and correctly. To use our services, you pay us 25 USD in consular fees, which we pay to the immigration service on your behalf, as well as £35.07 in service fees as compensation for our services, including VAT. Our services have saved many travellers from major problems during their trip. Should an application be rejected despite our support and verification, we will refund the full purchase price (unless an application for a previous Egypt visa was rejected for the same traveller).
