The Egypt e-visa is meant for a holiday in Egypt with maximum stay of 30 days. The Egypt e-visa can only be applied for online. You do not have to visit a consulate or embassy, and after arrival in Egypt you no longer have to wait in line at a visa counter.

What is the Egypt e-visa?

An Egypt e-visa is a PDF-document issued by the Egyptian immigration services. You can apply for the e-visa online, and you will then receive it via e-mail. This means that an application can easily be submitted at home from your laptop, tablet, or smartphone, which makes the e-visa the easiest way to comply with the Egyptian visa requirement.

Making an urgent application

Applying for your e-visa Egypt well in time is highly recommended. The average delivery time is 11 days. In the application form, you can choose for your application to be processed urgently. The average delivery time for urgent applications is 5 days. Please note, however, that delivery times are not guaranteed. In case of a random application check, or unforeseen delays at the Egyptian immigration service, even urgent applications can suffer a delay. For example, the weeks leading up to Eid al-Fitr (the end of Ramadan) are always busy, often resulting in delays. To make sure you receive your e-visa in time, it is best to submit your application a few weeks before your departure. This will also save you the additional fee of £17.50 that e-Visa.co.uk charges for an urgent application.

Submit a group application

Are you going on holiday to Egypt with your family? Please note that each traveller needs their own passport and also their own e-visa. This also applies to young children. You can submit a separate visa application for each traveller, but it is easier to make use of a group application. That way, you can apply for several Egypt e-visas at the same time. You can do this with the same application form. At the top of the form, you fill in the general data, such as address data and data about the trip. At the bottom of the form, you fill in the details of each traveller. You can add up to ten people to your application with one form.

The costs of the Egypt e-visa

If you apply for an e-visa Egypt for a holiday to Egypt with this application form, the total costs are £54.95 per person. This amount includes consular fees, service charges and tax.

All applications for Egyptian e-visas are processed by the immigration service in Egypt, for which the Egyptian government charges a consular fee. Applications submitted at e-Visa.co.uk are also screened by visa specialists before the inspection in Egypt, for which a service fee is charged. All these costs are included in the total price of £54.95 per traveller. Because your application is already checked at e-Visa.co.uk, you can be sure that your application will be processed in good order. The visa specialist will, for example, check if you have made any typing errors when copying your passport details in the application form. If an error is found, you will be contacted immediately so that the mistake can still be corrected. Your application can then be processed quickly and correctly, and you will receive a valid e-visa that allows you to easily pass all checks in Egypt.

There is also an Egypt e-visa which allows you to enter the country several times. If you choose that visa type, a surcharge will apply. You can also choose to have your application processed faster for an additional fee. Finally, you can opt for voluntary compensation of the CO₂ emissions of your flight. e-Visa.co.uk is a commercial and professional visa agency, and supports travellers in obtaining, among others, the Egypt visa. e-Visa.co.uk is an official partner of the International Air Transport Association, IATA, with membership number 57231226, acts as an intermediary, is no law firm, nor does it employ lawyers, does not provide legal advice, and is in no way part of any government. You can also apply for a visa directly with the immigration service (25 USD per visa, via visa2egypt.gov.eg). However, not with our level of support. If you submit your application via e-Visa.co.uk, our support centre is available to you 24/7. In addition, we manually check your application and all the documents you provide before submitting it to the immigration authorities on your behalf. If we suspect any errors or omissions while doing so, we will personally contact you to ensure that your application can still be processed quickly and correctly. To use our services, you pay us 25 USD in consular fees, which we pay to the immigration service on your behalf, as well as £35.06 in service fees as compensation for our services, including VAT. Our services have saved many travellers from major problems during their trip. Should an application be rejected despite our support and verification, we will refund the full purchase price (unless an application for a previous Egypt visa was rejected for the same traveller).
