In order to apply for an e-visa, you will need a passport with a mininum validity period of six months upon arrival in Vietnam. You must travel to Vietnam with the same passport that you used to apply for your visa. Before applying for your visa, check that your passport has enough validity. 4 | Your personal background
The immigration services in Vietanm carry out background checks on all incoming travellers. This happens both during the visa application procedure and also upon arrival in the country. The aim is to prevent that travellers who may pose a security risk to Vietnam and its inhabitants can enter the country.
In the application form, you must declare if you have been deported from Vietnam in the past three years. If the answer to this question is “Yes”, you cannot apply for the Vietnam e-visa. Furthermore, you may be denied entry to the country if you need to answer “Yes” to the question of if you have a serious mental illness or a contagious disease.
Having a criminal record does not necessarily prevent travellers to enter Vietnam. The e-visa application form does not ask about any criminal history. However, the Vietnamese immigration authorities may refuse entry to travellers who are considered a potential risk to the country, even if they have a valid visa.
Start your visa application nowe-Visa.co.uk is a commercial and professional visa agency, and supports travellers in obtaining, among others, the Vietnam visa. e-Visa.co.uk is an official partner of the International Air Transport Association, IATA, with membership number 57231226, acts as an intermediary, is no law firm, nor does it employ lawyers, does not provide legal advice, and is in no way part of any government. If you submit your application via e-Visa.co.uk, our support centre is available to you 24/7. In addition, we manually check your application and all the documents you provide before submitting it to the immigration authorities on your behalf. If we suspect any errors or omissions while doing so, we will personally contact you to ensure that your application can still be processed quickly and correctly. To use our services, you pay us 668,503 VND in consular fees, which we pay to the immigration service on your behalf, as well as £36.07 in service fees as compensation for our services, including VAT.
